Loss of yardage due to a sack comes off the team passing yard total.

This is kind of strange, since i think victory formation impacts a QB's rushing yards, and not their passing yards. But i see the rationale for it being different.

Yeah, if it's a rushing attempt, I guess it would be a "tackle for a loss", right?

The Chiefs play the Jets on Sunday night football.
Taylor Swift has announced that she will be there.
Secondary market tickets have taken a jump in price.
The first Jersey that you see at NFL Shop is Travis Kelce’s #87.

She is the new Oprah. Her actions can effect the economy.

Her new concert film was announced for October 13, and because of the expected dominance of that, the new Exorcist film which was scheduled for a perfect Friday the 13th in October was moved up to October 6.

They are now calling this the Exorswift effect and I wish I was making that up.

Big early season showdown between the Fins and The Bills today, some questions will be answered, are the Fins really that good?

Also the Commanders at the Eagles, last year they beat the undefeated Eagles and today once again we have an undefeated Eagles team.

Proud that my Jets made it a game after being down 17-0 and even Mahomes says they could have mailed it in but didn't. Zach played his ass off and made a lot of good throws (a glimpse why he was a #2 pick) but in the end its Mahomes and the Champs who seem to always pull it out.
Didn't like how the refs called that defensive interference call at a crucial moment (watch the NFL admit that was a mistake in a few days) but it screwed any chance the Jets had to pull that one out.

More to come on Week 4 tomorrow, but I think both of these games created more questions than they answered. Not in a "these teams are questionable" sort of way, more in a "we're not going to ever be sure" kind of way, which makes for a more compelling season.

The Jets were robbed. That was a really game changing bad call.

I think we've seen in the first four weeks that the Jets would really be a force in the AFC if Aaron Rodgers had stayed healthy. They beat the Bills and they nearly beat the Chiefs with Zach Wilson, one of the worst QBs in the NFL right now.

Colts lost yesterday but I think any reasonable fan would have to be happy with what they saw out of Anthony Richardson. Down 23-0 entering the third quarter, the young man single-handedly came back to tie up the game and take it to overtime. I think with his physical abilities, his pass-first mindset, and calm, disciplined personality, the sky is the limit.

I also have to wonder what Brock Purdy has to do to get some credit -- some are calling him a Shanahan puppet, but hey, what other Niners QBs who have played for him have been able to do what Purdy has done? Not Jimmy G. Not Trey Lance.

And man, another day of blow outs -- about 7 on the day, 8 if you count the Niners over the Cards, and 4 where the losing team scored less than 7 points.

On my feeds last night many Jets fans were turning off the game at 17-0 because they didn’t want to watch a slaughter that looked like was inevitable but…..somehow the Jets came back and tied the game at 20. Turned out to be a great game.

Now I missed the 17-0 part because I picked my daughter up at the airport and by the time we came home it was 17-12 but looking at the comments from the beginning of the game, people were once again disgusted.

Yesterdays Buffalo game showed a great defense can stop a great offense as the Dolphins who had just scored 70 points were kept in check and this game turned into a blowout in the end. Dolphins are fun to watch but if they don’t improve their D, they won’t last long in the playoffs. Remember last year the Dolphins collapsed at the end of the season.

4 weeks into the season, and I'm concerned. Except for the Bengals being worse than expected, and the Ravens being better than expected, the season is playing out as predicted by almost everyone:
- KC is the class of the league, and while they've been weaker than normal, they're still getting it done, and have time to figure out how to be juggernaut yet again
- Buffalo is clearly still a step ahead of Miami, who has a powerful offense, but still needs time to grow
- the NFC is clearly San Francisco and Philadelphia fighting it out for the rights to destroy Dallas in the playoffs, while Detroit gains some more respect
- No team in the South divisions matter, nor does the NFC North
- while some other teams look like they'll end up at .500 or so (Rams, Bucs, Chargers), that's more a factor of their divisions, not their skill.

I guess I'm just not feeling enthused for a football season where it feels like 7 of the 8 final teams are already separating themselves from the rest of the league, and it's only Rogers' injury that has kept that from being all 8. At the quarter pole, I'm betting that 8th slot goes to one of the Ohio teams. The bad teams are going to be bad, and worse, boring. So unlike the dogfights of previous years, I think we're in a situation where only a couple of games a week are going to both matter, and be well played. So I sit here after week 4, thinking not much is going to matter or change until the divisional round of the playoffs.

Well, it's just one game. If he can keep playing better than his previous output, then I'll be more than happy to say he's turned the corner.

But didn't they show last night that he had the lowest passer rating among starters at like 57 or something like that?

It's barely a quarter into the season and a lot can change. Guys get injured, other teams start clicking, there's always something that is surprising in January when you compare what people are thinking in September.

Through the years the Jets have never “unleashed” their QB, from Sanchez thru Geno to Sam Darnold and now Zach, it’s always keep them playing very safe football and it’s gotten them nowhere. When you have a Zach Wilson type arm along with his running speed, you need to tailor an offense to those strengths and last night they finally did.
Yeah he will make mistakes, all QBs do when they are allowed to really play (Josh Allen with 3 INTs on opening day, last night Mahomes had a few picks) you can’t get too hung up on the INT.

10 years ago the most prolific offense in NFL history ran into the Legion of Boom and got spanked 43-8.

I have nothing against Zach and after all the early career problems, I'd love the guy to have a Rocky style comeback in his career. I don't love him, I don't hate him, I feel total indifference toward him.

But looking at what he's done to this point -- he's thrown more interceptions than TDs (22 to 19), has a career completion percentage of 56% when the average is 64-65%, and a career passer rating of 71.1 during years when the average is about 90.0. I'm just calling it like I see it -- maybe he'll be great one day, but so far, he hasn't.

It's all about match-ups at a certain level. Can our line beat their line? Can our receivers beat their corners and vice versa? And of course, in-game situations and random chance.

Oh up to this point he has been horrible, the game moved much too fast for him and he has look rattled but last night suddenly the game slowed down and he was methodical for the first time. His black mark last night was the fumble again playing a little too fast at that point but overall a big improvement.

Was it a fluke? Is it a turning point? We shall see but at least last night he finally joined the NFL QB’s club.
