the eagles are getting 3 points at home vs the 49'ers.......why?

Being here, and based on my earlier post I can tell you why.

Their schedule is the hardest in the league and they are in the middle of (in order) KC, Buffalo, SF and Dallas.

Also, the secondary is getting torched and SF wants revenge for last year.

At some point the Eagles are going to lose again, and this week could set up to be the one.

That’s why the line has them as dogs.

Well, on the bright side, the game against the Seahawks got flexed to Monday night, so you can watch your Eagles humiliate us in prime time.

That’s six prime time games now for the Eagles.

I’m not convinced they humiliate the Seahawks, but they should win.

Seattle caved and did the loyalty thing by signing Geno, but he’s been brutal this season.

In other NFL news, Ertz was waived by Arizona at his request and with Goedert still injured, could there be an Eagles reunion?

Flacco looks like he’s starting for Cleveland this week, and he’s damn better than the trash they’ve been peddling out there like Thompson-Robinson and Walker, but with only a short time to prepare, I’m not sure how it will go.

Von Miller is garbage and his last shows that.

And Tepper, the owner of Carolina is a delusional imbecile.

The Young pick was awful enough, but all they gave up is ghastly and will paralyze the franchise for years. Like Reich could’ve possibly been to blame. Please!

And yet he has twice the amount of Super Bowl rings that the entire Eagles franchise has, lol.

I assumed he was talking about Miller's legal issues. He is accused of assaulting his pregnant girlfriend.

She's saying, "No one assaulted anyone. This is insane. And sad." now, so who knows what's going on. But if he did, then he is garbage.

Nah, if it was fixed, it wouldn’t suck so often.

After suffering through another Jets debacle (though numb at this point), that SF at Philly game made up for it with quite a spectacle out there.
It is a thing of beauty when you see a team operating on all cylinders . It’s rare in the NFL but we witnessed what a team can be capable of when a game plan comes together.
Brock Purdy really is something else.

Monumental task? You must be joking, easiest thing in the world to do.

Just make a completely convoluted rulebook where things can be called any way and the league can get whatever desired result it wants.

I didn't watch a snap of the game last night but just looked at a message board and it seems in the last couple of minutes had numerous officiating decisions that were anywhere from questionable to just being bad. Everything from a non-pass interference call to a bogus unnecessary roughness call to a fumble that was changed to a non-fumble to clock stoppage that should have been a non-clock stoppage. Again, I didn't see any of the game, but the complaints seem to pretty much cover just about any officiating aspect that one could think of.

And now NFL owners and big media outlets have partnered up with sportsbooks and they are business partners...they are completely in-bed with one another. Anybody who thinks that it is a completely impossibility that the league would ever participate in anything shady to protect their business interest is naive.

its not just one game, its almost every game.

there is too much control of the outcome of a game left in the hands of the officials.

the non call in the chiefs game was HUGE......mahomes with the ball first and goal on the 5 instead of the 40, sure they had to still score and get the 2-points, but it would have been much much easier.

For me, I just think that if the NFL were rigged, the big market teams like the Giants, Jets, Chargers, Bears, Redskins / Commanders, Texans, Cardinals, etc. would have done a whole lot better over the last 20 years. That's where all the rating / money is, so you'd want those audiences to be most engaged.

They don't ever call PI on end zone Hail Mary's. There were other questionable calls during the game, I'll give you that, but the last one is NEVER called.

Don't forget Dallas. America's team and all that. Love 'em or hate 'em, they're big market. They haven't been to the NFC Championship since '96, so that's saying something.

This year might be their year if they get they right officials. :ohyes:

The officiating in the NFL, NHL, and NBA have been terrible this year. It's hard not to wonder if online betting is a factor. This is universally the worst officiating I've ever seen.

I don't even blame the refs anymore -- the rules are so complicated with "ifs and thens" that I don't think a normal human could accurately call a game in real time. They need to come into the 21st century, where instantaneous slow-motion replay done by people in a booth could help the accuracy and speed of making good calls in real time. Just a guy in the head official's headset saying, "Hey, that was a pass interference..." or "Hey, pick up that flag..."

I guess the XFL already came up with this solution years ago.

'Sky Judge' Official Is a No-Brainer for the NFL

https://bleacherreport.com/articles/282 ... or-the-nfl

But of course, the NFL rejected it...

Cost, fear of unintended consequences killed “Sky Judge,” for now

Yep, he's very good. Give me a QB with a high floor, good football IQ, and the ability to occasionally make a great play, and I'll take that over the wing it all over the yard, run for your life, throw into triple coverage QB any day.
Most of the talking heads that make it across the border into Canada have Purdy in the MVP conversation, so that sounds like a lot of credit.
