Then the winners of those 7-game series can play each other in another seven-game series to see who goes to the World Series for one final seven-game series? Don't be silly. It would have to be best of 161 or 163 so the series doesn't end 81-81.

That Phillies demolition of Atlanta was stellar.
SIX HRs including two each from Castellanos and Harper.
And after Arcia’s imbecilic dig at Harper after Game 2, Bryce certainly remembered and stared him down after each HR and Arcia was too cowardly to even look up.
It was great, subtle theater.
Nola was brilliant and the crowd went bonkers.
Harper now has the record for the most HRs in NLDS history with 10.
I’m hoping they finish it tonight.
And I’m loving what Arizona did to the Dodgers.

Goodbye Atlanta!!!
Castellanos hits 2 HRs AGAIN!
The Phillies hit ELEVEN HRs in this 4 game series.
Suarez pitched awesome, the bullpen was shaky and it’s a glorious night.
Back to back NLCS appearances.
See ya Monday night against Arizona!

How about this:
• four Wild Card Teams per League, doesn't matter which Division they come from, best records, standard tie breakers, etc. • all eight Wild Card Teams play a one-game series on Tuesday after season ends on Sunday. Wild Card team with the best record plays the Wild Card team with the worst record, gets home advantage; the other "middle" two teams take on each other. • Wednesday: travel day for Wild Card Teams remaining • Thursday: two remaining Wild Card teams play each other in a one-game series; best Wild Card team gets home advantage • Friday: the second and third best Divisional Champions start 7-game series. • Saturday: best Divisional winner starts seven game series against Wild Card winner; 2nd game for Divisional Teams 2 and 3. • Sunday: travel day for 2nd and 3rd teams; 2nd game for best Divisional Team • Monday: game 3 for Divisional 2 and 3; travel day for others.
And so on. Baseball almost every night; Divisional winners all rewarded with full seven-game series; no team sits too long; good attendance days on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and it all wraps up well before November pending weather conditions, etc.

Baseball in November is fine with me.
It’s happened plenty of times before and it just doesn’t get cold here like it used to.
It’s not a big deal, and for baseball fans, you get to watch games later into the year.
This will be the 9th World Series to end in November-it’s nothing new.
I’m more offended by games in late March into mid-April.
The weather is always horrific in the Northeast and the season should not start before April ever.
Hell, we didn’t even get an ounce of measurable snow last year and this is Philly!

Congratulations to the Texas Rangers. I'm so happy to see the Houston Ratros get eliminated.
and two game 7's this year. Even if they still managed to do it without creating any sense of drama last night.

The team with the better manager won. Plus if you cannot hit or pitch at home you don't deserve to win. The Astros were not the better team. Congratulations to the Rangers.
As far as the cheating goes, the majority of players from that 2017 team are gone now and it was revealed to be wide spread around the league with the only difference being the Astros had a former player willing to rat out the team. That's fine, they shouldn't have done what they did but to isolate them as the only team who did creative sign stealing is absurd, especially when the people who brought it to the Astros came from the Yankees. But keep on calling them and only them cheaters. (that was my point earlier) Sorry, I'm done.
Rooting for the NL now!

Seeing rumors (mlbrumors.com) that Dusty Baker's gonna call it a day. While I'm all for Houston getting worse, I would say I hate to see baseball lose that kind of class act.

That is still a pretty good gig to have, as there is still a lot of talent on the current roster. The only problem is for how long, since there aren't a lot of replacements in the minor leagues.
