Is there a general consensus about whether the various "All The Songs" books are accurate and/or worthwhile? I've picked up the Queen book when B&N had a half-price sale. I'm interested in a couple others, but I want to make sure they're worth it - I haven't had a chance to read any of the Queen book yet.

I haven't read any of them, but I bet Pete will probably recommend this one:

I read it and I enjoyed it. Pete knows his stuff.

Pete's book is great and I'm looking forward to the new one he reportedly has coming soon. I have about 30 or 40 of those "Every Song" type books.
I do believe that Alan is referring to the ALL THE SONGS hefty hardcover books, though.
I have the Beatles, Bowie, Dylan, Led Zep, Pink Floyd, Prince, Queen, and Rolling Stones in that series and looking forward to the upcoming Elton.
I can't say I've read them cover-to-cover but I pick through them and find them enjoyable. I've learned some things, spotted some things that may not be entirely correct,
but a lot of it is opinion and I don't mind that sort of stuff.

DanO is correct. It's the big shipping container-sized books I'm curious about. Just in case I run into a deal un the Prince book. And Elton. Some of the other series like that have been disappointing, but at a lower price.

Thanks for the info, Dan.
