Sad news.

A true rock legend and extremely distinctive voice.

So sad. Rest in peace, Dan. Such a distinctive voice.

One of my favorite Nazareth tracks is "Holiday" from 1980, a departure from their heavier sound. The music video was played often in the early days of MTV.

One of my favorite singers from the old days.

I created this as a tribute.

One of his best vocal performances, circa 1994.

Nazareth is one of my all-time favorite groups and I always loved Dan’s vocals. Was so lucky to see them here in NY a few times, I used to drag Jimbo along with me.

RIP.

I'm glad you liked it!

The parent album Malice In Wonderland was produced by Jeff "Skunk" Baxter.

Another great song from that album is “Heart’s Grown Cold”.

Don't forget their live album, 'Snaz. A great live album. Dan's vocals are especially raspy on that which adds to it all. Love that album. Heart’s Grown Cold is there and better than the studio version, imo.
