I had just moved to Chicago. 1973. A co-worker takes me for a drink a few blocks away from the office. Tiny little bar and grill called the London House. I'm sitting at the bar with my vodka tonic and three feet away from me at the piano is Ramsey Lewis. Couldn't believe it. My first of many visits to the London House for a drink and listening to Ramsey Lewis play for a few hours before heading home. Great memory. R.I.P. Mr. Lewis, and thanks.

Seen him in concert back in the '90s at a jazzfest and he put on an amazing show. RIP
