Wow!
I only saw Roxy Music once, but it was spectacular and one of the best shows I’ve ever seen.
I hope I can afford to see them in Philly (but I doubt it!)
From Pitchfork:
Roxy Music Announce First Tour in 11 Years
St. Vincent will join the glam legends for a host of September dates across North America, followed by three UK shows
By Jazz Monroe March 28, 2022
Roxy Music are heading out on tour for the first time in 11 years, celebrating the 50th anniversary of their debut album. The current lineup of Bryan Ferry, Andy Mackay, Phil Manzanera, and Paul Thompson will play across the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom in September and October, supported on most of the North American dates by St. Vincent. (Support for shows in Boston and the United Kingdom has not yet been announced.)
Check out the dates below.
Roxy Music recently announced an anniversary-themed vinyl reissue campaign for all eight of their albums.
Read Pitchfork’s Sunday Review of For Your Pleasure and the rundown of “The 200 Best Songs of the 1970s.” In 2013, Bryan Ferry spoke to Pitchfork about the soundtrack to his life for a “5-10-15-20” feature.

Actually the NY ICE gang saw them at Radio City way back in 2003, I mean everyone was at that show. It was great! Since then I've seen Bryan Ferry many times (usually at the Beacon) so it would be a trip to see Roxy once again.

My wife and I were part of the big ICE gang that night. I am considering going to LA for the upcoming show as there is no Vegas date.

I can’t remember if they did Avalon or not but that’s what “fm set list” says happened on-that date. Checking out other set lists on that tour it seems sometimes Avalon was in and sometimes it was out.
A decent seat at MSG is selling for $151 (without fees) so 2 tickets will run one well over $350+.
I might try the wait till Gametime approach to a ticket(s).

Yeah, I just checked the presale…an arena (lower) level seat for their appearance here is running $178 before fees. Forget that…not that big of a Roxy Music fan, and St. Vincent is not a selling point for me.

I woudn't be interested in this anyway, but I did want to mention that these kinds of price jumps have happened in all most all venues and band sizes. I'm thinking that every step in the live event value chain is trying to recoup their losses; it feels like prices are up by maybe 20% from before the pandemic. For every act.

Forget that…not that big of a Roxy Music fan, and St. Vincent is not a selling point for me. Everything is relative, I guess. I just checked in on Eagles tix at MGM Grand. The front half of the TOP deck in the arena is $350 per ticket before fees.
