I was listening to XM’s Underground Garage a little earlier today and heard a band called The Eyes. It was a song titled “I’m Rowed Out”. I never heard of these guys before. I liked the song and tried looking them up on the internet. I really couldn’t find much about them except they were together 1964-1967 and their most productive period was 65-66. I checked Amazon to see is there was any cds of these guys but couldn’t find a thing. Does anyone know if anything by them is available on cd ?

Nothing in print at the moment.

The Arrival of the Eyes
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000H8SE1W/?tag=imwan-20

and the only other title I could find was Blink, another UK comp that contains a similar track list (essentially a compilation of their singles.)

Yes, I found that but I don't think Linda wants us linking to Discogs. I keep to Amazon posts.

Yes. Amazon only, please.

The Arrival Of The Eyes CD contains their complete recordings. That's the WAN you'll want. The group only released a few singles and a Rolling Stones covers album done under the pseudonym The Pupils (get it?). Arrival has everything, plus some alt-takes and demos.

Two of their tracks are available on Nuggets II: Original Artyfacts from the British Empire and Beyond Box Set.

It's a great box set - lots of other fantastic cuts from across the board.

It seems to be OOP but if you would be OK with a used set it's more reasonable.

Are you on Twitter? I bet if you tweeted the question at Little Steven he would respond. He's very engaged with his followers.

I bought Arrival of the Eyes right after Nuggets II came out. Pretty good, but they used the best tracks on Nuggets, I'm Rowed Out, and When The Night Comes.
