My Facebook account was hacked last night.

I received an email giving me a new temporary password when I never asked for one.

I did not use it or click on any link.

I went on my FB page and there was one of those usual fake requests for friends and I did not accept that either.

Next thing I know, I received a message from FB asking me to change my password due to suspicious activity.

This one was legit.

It accepted my new password and one minute later I was booted out and my account was closed for a "violation" of Facebook community rules.

it said something about 30 days, but it's not clear the account will be saved and I read that if you don't get it fixed in 30 days when you are hacked, you will lose everything and to contact FB as soon as possible...which I CANNOT do!

I did no such thing, but the hack must've triggered that.

I then requested to have my account reactivated and they denied it.

There is no way to contact anybody with FB by email or phone.

I've tried everything and it refuses to allow me access, though it does accept my new password.

This is beyond asinine, and I'm worried I've had information stolen and I will lose my FB account with all the photos, contacts and everything else.

I am also furious there isn't a single frickin' human being I can talk to or email to get this crap resolved.

Does anyone have any experience with this garbage?

Can anyone tell me how to even contact anyone?

I tried and all I get is the same “your account has been disabled” message.

Many of my friends have had their Facebook accounts hacked. Clearly Facebook is not a secure internet service. I have a Facebook account and I am concerned about my privacy being accessible by criminals

Do you happen to have twitter? Facebook has a twitter account and it looks like you could private message them from twitter. IIf you don't have an account it might be worth it to get one. I have had luck on twitter reaching hard to reach things like phone carriers and my former cable company.

This sort of stuff is why I ditched FB years ago - it's literally a magnet for hackers. I understand why people use it, and in theory it's a good idea, but the reality is that there are too many dishonest people who use online info for a range of illegal purposes. I hope you can get it sorted out, though - Zuckerberg's made FB more or less ubiquitous yet takes no responsibility when things go wrong. You're right to say there should be someone you can contact, and the fact that they make a fortune out of everyone's personal info and don't spend a cent on customer service is a disgrace.
