Beyond the Colts, there's so many interesting storylines -- Russ Wilson on the Broncos, how competitive that division will be this year, Baker Mayfield on the Panthers, Carson Wentz in DC, Aaron Rodgers without Davante Adams, etc. Should be fun!
The Vikes don't get any love here. Probably because many of you are east coasters and different divisions, etc. But how about them this year? New coach, new offensive system, blah, blah, blah.
Hey, there's 32 teams -- I didn't mention a lot of them!

HAHA!
The Vikes get a bad rap since the Cousins signing and rightfully so. Yet, I have high hopes this season. But then again, I had high hopes with Zimmer and that actually played out somewhat. This new scenario is exciting because of the young coach who's full of fire and has something to prove. The jury is still out on Kirk.
Fascinating article in the Athletic called "The QB Betrayal Index".
"The index highlights differences in where these quarterbacks’ teams ranked on offense compared to defense/special teams, using TruMedia’s EPA model. The better a quarterback’s team was on offense and the worse his team was on defense/special teams, the more “betrayed” the quarterback was in the games he started."
Some notable Colts quarterbacks on there -- Matt Ryan at #3 (-41), Andrew Luck at #9 (-26), and Peyton Manning at #19 (-6). Interestingly, Carson Wentz falls into the category where the situation is reversed -- his defenses and special teams have performed better than him (+14).

I was so wrapped up with the Colts players that I didn't take a minute to look at some of the other guys on that list, but there are surprises -- like RG3 at #6, tied with Patrick Mahomes!
There's also some QBs that I didn't expect to see on the "let down by defense and special teams" side -- Ryan FitzMagic, Jameis Winston, Josh McCown, and especially Jimmy Garoppolo. Analysts have been saying Jimmy G has been propped up by great running games and defense, but I guess that second part isn't as accurate!
Then there are some guys I'm surprised weren't let down by defense / special teams given their great traditional metrics - Lamar Jackson, Russell Wilson (I'm guessing the Legion of Boom era is what happened), and Josh Allen (especially after that last playoff game, but I guess he was pretty bad his first few years).
Jets dodged a major bullet with Wilson tweaking his knee instead of a full blown ACL tear. We need to find out if he is a keeper this season so they have to have him out there.
Jets may win only 4 games or so this season so another high draft choice will happen.
