Colts move to 0-3, effectively killing off any hope of the playoffs -- I think I just read that only 6 teams since 1980 have made the playoffs after starting 0-3.
I can't even say I blame Carson Wentz, who I thought would be the reason for the Colts tanking. I think it's just their offensive line hasn't been as good as past seasons, so the QB doesn't have time to pass and they're not getting push in the run game... and they started off playing some very tough teams in the Seahawks, Rams, and Titans and came up short.
Oh well.
Looks like Aaron Rodgers has just served up a heaping helping of crow to anyone who thought him and the Packers were done after game one.
someone please tell me why in the world they are hyping this whole brady/patriots thing happening monday night?
is it really that big of a deal, or is the media making a mountain out of a molehill?
it is 4th game of the year for goodness sake.
Come on Renny...it's a huge story. This may be the last time that Brady plays at Gillette again. It's a whole Brady vs Belichick thing and on top of all of it, Brady is the GOAT. As you've just said, it's the 4th game. How many bigger stories would you see in week 4?
I'm going to be at the game, but right now they're predicting rain during a good part of the game, so I'd better get my rain gear ready.

well, how about the possibility of 4 teams tying for the playoffs in the american league with only 2 days left in the season?
ESPN led with the brady thing and di about 1 minute on the baseball story. its like a WWF steel cage match.
football is king, and its getting bigger and bigger.

I haven't watched the NFL in a couple of years, but if I did, I would be all over that game. Brady vs Bill? That's compelling. I will, however, be watching any and all tie-breaker MLB games, and I hope there are some!

Bigger in proportion to the popularity of sports, but not bigger in terms of overall cultural popularity. I've read they're have a tough time getting people younger than 35 interested in the sport in the same numbers as previous generations.
I didn't watch last night's game but it looked like it came down to the wire, which is surprising considering how mediocre the Patriots have been and how good the Bucs have been since the Tom Brady move.
The Colts finally got a nice win, but I'm still not counting on them to get into the post-season at this point. Too beat up on the offensive line and not enough playmakers at receiver to make up for it.
It was pouring rain the whole game. Guys were dropping passes all night.
Actually, not exactly true. I was there. It was a little more wet at the beginning of the game, but most of the time it was more of a mist and for some short periods of time, the rain stopped. It never poured. The field never looked like it was splashing either. Overall, I think both teams will tell you that the weather wasn't really much of a factor.

Mac Jones played very, very well and reads defenses in an impressive fashion.
The game was entertaining even if it was sloppy.
As for the Eagles, I’ve never seen a more wretched defense.
They allowed a humiliating 200 yards rushing, 5 passing TDs, as well as TDs on 6 of 7 drives, never made KC punt once and have allowed 83 points the last two games.
At least Hurts is playing great, especially with play-action and he had nearly 400 yards passing yesterday which is the only reason the score was respectable at 42-30.

I'm not feeling this season at all; so many rookie and near rookie quarterbacks running around that it's like I have to relearn the entire league. So it's gonna be follow the Raiders and Packers for a while, and let the rest of of the league sort themselves out.
AFC East - Buffalo does look good, but I don't know if that'll last once the snow flies. But NE and the Jets aren't good, and with Tua injured, I don't know who the Fish are. AFC South - Indy has no QB, Texas has no QB, Jags have a rookie, and Tennessee has Derrick Henry. That should be enough. AFC West will be fun all year, though, as everyone finished 10-6 / 9-7. It'll look like the AL East AFC North - Ben's Old, I don't trust the Browns, Burrow's a year away from being a year away, and Jackson can't do it alone
NFC East - It's Dallas, which sucks. Not as bad as the other teams tho, who really suck. NFC North - I lose Rogers, and I'm really not going to enjoy much of this division NFC South - With Brees and Julio gone, this is a really different division behind the defending champs. NFC West - Also fun with Arizona, the Rams, 'Hawks and Niners kicking each others butts all year
Maybe it's the lack of east coast competitive teams that's putting me off. all the cool stuff's out west, and the early afternoon slot on Sundays is boring.
Hussongs Cantina in Ensenada. Had to sneak back in to get my boombox!
I saw that in an interview with Brady about now having beaten every NFL team at least once he was asked who he likes to beat the most. He said that would be the Giants, of course, because they got him twice in the Super Bowl and ruined his perfect season. He also mentioned that Eli likes to bring that up to him a lot in their conversations.
This makes me very happy!!!!
