$29 per person? Sounds like a bargain. A one-day ticket to Legoland Florida is eighty-five bucks.

Yup. The MoPop here (Museum of POP Culture - formerly the Experience Music Project and SciFi Museum) is $30 admission, and the Space Needle is $35 (unless you’re a WA resident) and that doesn’t even have a restaurant in it anymore.

The general admission price for the World Trade Center Observatory without frills (no VIP line and special elevator) starts at $43. We did go up there when it first opened on a nice day/evening and it is quite spectacular.

To be fair they offer huge discount packages for those (and another couple of attractions you can pick and choose from)...or at least they did last time I was there. Didn't know they changed the name of the Nirvana museum.

Renny, thanks for your thoughts from yesterday. They are nicely put, well reasoned and sound like they would be a wish come true for many of us. Now we just need to find a place to put it. I'm thinking several floors of the building at 1619 Broadway, New York City would be appropriate.

Not thrilled with the topic, but I did find these recent interviews refreshing:

Todd Rundgren on Rock Hall Nomination: ‘I Don’t Care About It’

Dee Snider Calls Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ‘Elitist A–holes’

After those comments, Todd and Dee have become even cooler to me than they already were.

Unless Tiny Tim is inducted, they've lost all credibility with me. ;)

Yeah it’s pretty shocking that Carole King is not in the Hall after all these years. Saw her tour a few years ago at the Garden with James Taylor and it was dynamite! One of my wife’s favorite concerts (scored major points getting those tickets)! :)

She and Gerry Goffin are in together as a songwriting team.

I love Fela, but he must have some powerful fan juju behind him to give him such a powerful ranking

Yeah, I think there's got to be some vote fudging going on there.

There is a national campaign in Nigeria to vote for Fela Kuti. I kid you not.

Are you saying that they should be elected to a "separate but equal" hall of fame?

If it doesn't resemble rock and roll, it shouldn't be in there.

When does George Strait get inducted into the RRHF?

What does RnR look (or sound) like?

Chuck Berry doesn’t sound much like CSNY or U2 or Iron Maiden?

Is it like obscenity and you know it when you see it? How do we quantify an artistic artform?

right after barbara streisand and frank sinatra......

you know sinatra did a duet with carly simon and one with bono, does that qualify him?

oops, i forgot, carly simon isn't good enough to be in either
