Stroman was one of those guys that I thought the Twins might target. 3 years/$71MM, though, is not Polhad kind of money to be spent on a pitcher.
$4MM for Dylan Bundy (with a team option for $11MM the following year) is more Polhad's speed, which could… probably won't… but could turn out to be a shrewd contract. Twins' fans aren't interested in shrewd contracts, though; they instead wanted at least one of those top-end pitching free agents who signed to contracts that the Twins easily could have afforded.
He was pretty good on the mound, but what a headcase. We need pitching, but I'm not sad to see him go. He never wanted to be on the Mets anyway.
Best thing about Stroman is that he spells Marcus correctly.
The walking Napoleonic Complex of the Major Leagues. Height Doesn't Measure Heart, but you must be this tall to be sane. A very good, not great, pitcher. I wish him well at Wrigley
red sox get jackie bradley back (he hit .170 last year)
also 2 prospects....for hunter renfroe.(32 home runs and the best rightfield arm in MLB)
boy i really don't get this one, unless those prospects are the real deal.
renfroe seemed to find a home in fenway .
This may also be a deal before a deal, where they have something else lined up, and they needed to free up a corner outfield position, or Renfroe's dollars, before acquiring a big deal player of some sort. Otherwise, yeah, it's kind of questionable, although CF is definitely a weak FA position this year, and there's a lot of outfield to cover in Boston.
There's a lot of head scratching going on in Boston over the Bradley/Renfroe deal. The prospects don't look like anything special, and they play positions that seem locked up. Unless perhaps they are protecting against losing Boegarts and/or Devers? I love watching JBJ in the field, so I'm not heartbroken. Plus, Bradley's arm is every bit as good as Renfroe's, so we'll still be seeing lots of outfield assists.

Jim Kaat pitched a bit for the Yankees and was a longtime broadcaster for the Yanks on the MSG and YES Networks. He's one of my favorite broadcasters. Congrats to Kitty Kaat and the great Tony Oliva!.
Tony Olivia’s election gives me hope of a few others who’s career was cut short due to injury…Munson, Donnie baseball and my favorite Red Sox of all time Tony C.
Also deserving Micky Lolich, Billy Pierce and Carl Mays.
Also agree with Rocky Colavito.

someone cast a bronze statue of rocky colavito in the vein of the ones that are situated all around progressive field in cleveland.
it is NOT standing at progressive field, instead it is in the Little Italy section of cleveland in a park there.
i do not know if there was even an attempt to put the colavito statue at progressive, it may have been done specifically for the Little Italy area. i do know that rocky showed up in Little Italy for the unveiling. just a class guy all the way, since day one.
