Sadly no, I wasn't born until three days after the gig...but unborn me was there in spirit (or so I'd like to believe). ;)

ELP is a tale of 2 bands for me.

i absolutely love the acoustic greg lake stuff, some of the best acoustic rock and roll music of all time. i can listen to it over and over again.

i loathe the bombastic keyboards that sometimes overtake the entire song being played. i acknowledge that keith emerson can play, but he doesn't have to prove it to me on every song. and when he really goes off on a tangent greg lake's vocals even take a turn towards the "loud, he seems to stop singing and does more 'shouting' (for lack of a better word)

Well...whatever Carl says it's only just better than a hologram, IMO. I don't think I'd be buying a ticket.

I'd rather see holograms, speaking from a technology perspective.

What I'd really like to see from Carl is him leading his ELP Legacy Band augmented by a couple of guest stars, maybe Robert Berry, touring the ELP catalog.

I saw ELP 7 times (including with Powell) and only saw one not-so-good show.

I would not even go for free to see Carl playing to video footage.
