The legacy of that guitar, one of rock's holy grails. Great player, inspired thousands. RIP

Peace, Peter. Breaking out the Boston Tea Party albums, as if one needs a reason to listen to them regularly anyway.

Totally heart-broken over this. My 3rd guitar hero - first was George Harrison then came Jeff Beck and then Peter. His Bluesbreakers album is still my favorite Mayall record, better than 'Beano'.. I was fortunate to see his Splinter Group along with John Mayall, still a great perfomer. So happy that Mick Fleetwood and John McVie were able to pay him tribute last year. Even if he did not attend he was aware of it. Well done Peter - may you R.I.P. And the first version will always be the best version of Fleetwood Mac.

I'm so sad about this. Albatross is one of my favourite pieces of music of all time, not to mention all the other brilliant things he did. R.I.P. VIDEO

Really a shame. My intro was when the Boston Tea Party releases came out. I 'knew' of FM's first line-up, but it was those recordings which opened my eyes. What a talented guitarist and songwriter. RIP. Planning on revisiting these today in honor of the man.

The documentary is pretty good as it goes over the history of Fleetwood Mac in the early years and all the combinations they went through. My favorite little section is when they (his brother Michael) talk about how Peter came to play the guitar. Apparently Michael was tone deaf and gave the guitar to Peter teaching him his first 3 chords E/ A/ and B7 which are the basis of the blues usually played as E7/ A7/ and B7. The rest is history.
