Was just coming here to post this. I saw him once with Ted on the Penetrator tour. As much as we joke about the guy here, Howe was, as far as I know, unique in that he both replaced Paul Rodgers and was replaced by Paul Rodgers in the same band.

RIP, sir.

Well, he was replaced by Robert Hart and then Bad Co broke up, so no, Rodgers didn't exactly replace him.

This is still sad news.

I saw him with Bad Co in 1987 and 1991 and they were great.

He never tried to be Rodgers which was the right move.

They had 14 radio hits and a number of hit singles and Gold and Platinum record with Howe from 1986-1994 and whether you like it or not, it was good stuff and very popular, if not a little generic.

I'm friends with Dave "Bucket' Colwell on FB and interviewed him for my book (he was in Bad Co from 1991-97 and 2001-02) and he posted about this today and was bummed, but acknowledged he could be tough to get along with.

I know that by the end of his time in Bad Co he and Ralphs/Kirke hated each other.

It's still sad to see him go.

My bad - I don't remember Robert Hart at all.

Hart was a better fit than Howe to be honest.

He had a great, Bluesy voice like Rodgers and he brought the band back to their heritage sound.

They did two albums and three tours with him.

Check out Company of Strangers-it's one of the best Bad Company albums.

Brian Howe's last songs: New music from the late singer and former Bad Company frontman

Quote:
“Going Home” is the first song to be released from Howe’s recent collaborations with Paschal. But more could be coming later this year and perhaps next year.
