Two years ago today we lost our beloved Jimbo. I didn’t realize how much you could miss someone. Jimmy was a magnificent friend, unique and universally beloved. I miss you terribly everyday my brother. Thank you all for keeping him alive in your hearts and minds.

Can't believe it's been two years already. I still clearly remember talking to JohnG about him at Experience, and then just a few days later, seeing Jack's post about saying goodbye and thinking it must be about returning home after visiting Jimbo, never suspecting what actually happened.

I love this place and the folks here but his passing still leaves a huge void here. I never met him but I do indeed miss him. Two years and a lifetime ago.

I can't believe it's been that long. I didn't meet him in person but he and I had so many discussions here over the years I felt like I knew him. He had such a depth of knowledge about, and love of, music. He always surprised me and made me smile.

A sad day indeed. If one person represented what this board is about, it was Jimbo. His love of music, and willingness to share his time with others, was greatly appreciated. Sending love to his memory, and will play some Stones to boost the signal to the heavens.

Hey Jack...we miss Jimbo all the time. I know I do. There's nothing that can make his loss easy, but at least you'll know how many friends he had and how many people are reminded of Jimbo on a regular basis. Jimbo was definitely one of a kind and in all the good ways.

It still feels crazy that the guy is gone. He feels woven into the fabric of this community.

Man, two years already. I hope you keep up your stories thread Jack. It's probably a bit therapeutic for you, and I know we all love hearing your memories of this great guy.

I'm gonna play the Stones' "Moon is Up" today because Jim told me it was one of his favorite deep tracks.

I'll never forget the day I found out.

I can't believe it's two years already. I remember it was a Sunday afternoon and I'd just come back home, logged on and couldn't believe what happened.

I messaged Smiff (Bill) and we both couldn't believe it.

This place isn't the same without him, but his memory and his spirit is always with us and I can't help but feel a little sad.

But happy that I knew him and got to spend many a Jimbo Lunch with him, both here in New England and a couple of times in NYC.

Thank you, everyone, for your kind remembrances. I took the advice and spun some Stones tonight. I remember this “greatest hits” release but never bought it myself mostly due to the sparse song list. I realized upon listening to it that the selections are really nicely put together. There’s a great feel and flow which made me envision the first ten songs of a really intriguing set list from a mid seventies Stones show. I personally liked the way they added some second tier hits into the mix. It’s another one that I would never have singled out if it wasn’t for Jim’s devoted collection. Thanks again “JimBro”!

I don't have a brother or a sister but I cannot imagine how difficult it must have been to lose someone like Jimbo and then have to be surrounded by all of his collection later. Going through his stuff is probably bittersweet because on one hand you get to live his music but he is gone physically. I am sure it was very emotional and continues to be. My thoughts and prayers are with you as you remember him. He was a huge part of what makes this community special.

I never met Jimbo, but even from afar his love of music was obvious. He was at the heart of the Imwan community, and is greatly missed. I think I’ll play some Stones this evening in honor of his memory.
