i have not left my home since saturday morning at 9:00. that is over 49 hours. i do believe that this is the longest that i've ever been in my house for one extended period of time, ever in my adult life.

and, i do not plan on leaving anytime soon.

we have all the essentials, we do not need anything, and we think that it is the very least we can do, as just ordinary average people, to try to help curb this shit before it really could get totally out of hand.

i would, however, love to go golfing on friday, it is supposed to be 65 degrees. and golfing is one of the few activities that seems to be acceptable.

Well, a golf course is socially distant...it's not like you're in close proximity to anyone. I reckon you could still play golf safely.

I've been thinking the same thing. Jack is going out of his mind being stuck home, but our course is opening next Monday. We have the added benefit of it being a private course, so it won't be overly crowded. I think Jack and I will work on a golf game a lot this spring.

We are now basically on lockdown in NJ.

All businesses must close at 8pm tonight and nobody knows when they will open again.

I read all the time, and I think I’ll be reading a lot more.

There's also an 8:00 P.M-5:00 A.M. curfew. That really fks up my schedule.

There is no such thing as social distancing in a chiropractic office. (Chiro= hands , practic=to do work) So the second Governor Hogan and the Superintendent of schools decided to shut down the schools for two weeks (to start) I decided that we would close too, so that there would be no chance anyone could become infected in our office. We have the calls coming to the house for telephone visits and have access to the office computers and physician’s portal at all the imaging facilities. So time to catch up on all the paperwork. Everyone please stay safe. This is the “SARS-COV 2” How did SARS-COV 1 go away? Public health methods and the change of seasons. Praying for the same or better.

Stay home, wash your hands frequently, don’t touch your face with unwashed hands and wipe down commonly touched surfaces with disinfectant. (Got This right off the CDC website) Keep informed but be great at the things that can help keep you safe.

Tough times. All my concerts canceled for now, my guitar school closed, my gym closed, events like the PRS Experience canceled, my trip to Portugal and Spain canceled, no sports, no Opening Day, no movie theaters not even St Patrick’s Day! Even upcoming family gatherings like at Easter may have to be put off.

Thank goodness I bought a new tv back in February because it’s gonna get a lot of use. And of course I can practice the guitar every day.

Right now golf sounds great.

I've been going for hikes on little-used trails. No need for close-up interaction with anybody, you're getting sunshine (or clouds) and fresh air and exercise and peace of mind. And listening to lots of music in my living room, right in between the speakers.

I took my girlfriend to New Zealand for a weekend trip last weekend and now I have to stay in my home for 14 days. Problem is Australia is in a state of emergency and there is no food in the supermarkets due to morons panic buying. And on-line shopping has been closed. It seems I will be illegally going to the market to get some basic things to live.
I have no illness and i'm in tip top condition. Playing all kinds of music to get by.

Working a couple hours in the office, the remainder via remote desktop at home.

I expected bread to be gone from the store but not cat litter, which is completely out. Maybe I can buy some bags of sand and empty them out.

If this lasts very long, I'll be going through my un-played stack of CDs' and vinyl quickly.

I went to 2 supermarkets today. Walmart had no toilet paper what so ever. No dish washing detergent. They had no fresh chicken at all. No hotdogs. No paper towels. Publix had no fresh chicken. They had small 4 roll toilet paper. They are limiting toilet paper to 2 per customer. I was lucky to get 2 of the last 6 they had. This is ridiculous. I only hope the hoarding stops by next week. If people hoard you will have to go out more often to the stores, than once a week. It's really counter productive to the guidelines. God help and bless us all.

I got a message from my landlord (corporation that owns many different rental properties). I am in what I would consider a higher-end type rental. The message says they are only doing repairs/fixes if it's an emergency basis due to the virus. The one that pisses me off to no end is that they are saying they will not fix the air conditioning unless the outside temperature is greater than 85 degrees. I am on the top floor, and the temperature in my unit is always way higher than the outside temperature if the heat/AC is not running. How extreme you ask? I have the heat set at 64 in the winter and it pretty much kicks on only if the outdoor temperature drops to 10 degrees. No kidding. In the summer the temp in my unit is almost at least 15 degrees higher than the outside temperature. I have the AC set for 74 and it pretty much runs continuously through the day and I suspect it only turns off a couple times at night if the outdoor temp drops to the 50s. Needless to say, if it gets to 82 degrees outside, the temp in my unit with no AC will easily be 95-100 and maybe even higher. And the best part #1, their hired handyman doesn't even do AC repairs, they have an HVAC company come in and do those...so there is literally zero risk to their staff. And the best part #2, the AC units are OUTSIDE THE DAMN BUILDING so if the AC goes down they don't have to enter my apartment to fix it.

If my AC goes down and it's 95+ degrees in my unit...I don't give a shit what the outside temperature is, I'm flat-out telling them they have 24 hours to get it fixed and if not then they are going to have to send a lawyer after me if they want to get a rent check for the month. Last time I checked, I am still going to work in order to get a paycheck in order to live....if I'm paying them they can't just play dead and pretend I don't exist.

I posted a photo on Facebook 2 weeks ago about my monthly trip to Costco to get the usual supplies (paper goods, K cups, peanut butter etc.) and discovered that all the toilet paper was gone, wiped out. Now I expected the sanitizing wipes to be gone but TP?

But it has gotten worse since then. Why TP? Who knew that in an apocalypse it would be the TP that is most coveted?

Crazy.

Yeah, man, it is crazy. I thought the supply chain was fine? Must not be that good. You would think they would quadruple the trucks coming in with all the hoarding.

I don't blame you to withhold your rent check, if they think you are supposed to sweat without air conditioning if it is 82 outside. The repair man should just have to get some hand sanitizer and come out like the rest of us.

one of the simplest things that we absolutely need is toilet paper. truly, with the way today's plumbing works, nothing else will suffice, no, not even facial tissue in large quantities, because it will eventually clog the system.

i really hope that the TP makers do not start to gouge people knowing their product is coveted.
