I heard someone recently use "tea" in a sentence and had to ask someone if that was some kind of slang I didn't understand. I felt pretty ignorant, because its use was not clear to me, even metaphorically.

All super common especially on social media, guess you are not a Facebook/ Instagram/ Snapchat guy.

GOAT - Greatest Of All Time, used a lot when Tom Brady is mentioned.

That explains it, they are largely Social Media terms especially SMH which I do a lot.

The only one of these I've used regularly is hangry, and I suspect there's some social media alternative meaning out there I'm not aware of. But if you've ever felt that irrational anger because your hungry feeling, you know that hangry is a real thing.

But that's before I got woke, and peeped this thirsty bae who I totes wanted to bring into the fam. But after telling this gucci GOAT she was on fleek, she clapped back and ghosted me.
