it's that time of year, so here we go again:
>buckingham-nicks - s/t >neil young - journey through the past >bob seger - noah >bob seger - back in '72 >bob seger - brand new morning >beatles - rarities >beatles - love songs >beatles - rock and roll music >stephen stills - still stills >stephen stills - thoroughfare gap - as an individual release. released by BGO as part of a three-fer >crosby*nash - the best of (green cover) >steely dan - 'dallas' and 'sail the waterway' EP >the second secret policeman's ball (w/townsend) (1 & 3 are on CD) >inside moves soundtrack - w/an ambrosia song and a pablo cruise song found nowhere else. >roseanne cash - s/t (her true first album) >boz scaggs - boz (his first album) >dave clark five - the entire catalog >the doors - 13>shiloh - (don henley's first band) >eric stewart - girls girls girls - songs on his anthology, so the tapes exist >eric stewart - frooty rooties (see above) >graham gouldman - animalympics >ali thomson - take a little rhythm >ali thomson - the art of deception >richard torrance - the entire catalog except for 'bareback' which was released in france >gregg allman & cher - allman & woman - i thought maybe when gregg allman passed, but not a word. >j. d. souther - midnight in tokyo >david werner - his entire catalog as far as i know >chevy chase - s/t
and still never released in the united states:
>steve miller - recall the beginning: journey from eden >steve miller - rock love >crosby*nash - first s/t album >graham nash - earth and sky >neil young - trans >neil young - eldorado EP >jackson browne - the road east - live in japan >10cc - a whole bunch of their catalog in many different incarnations.
and of course, the infamous saga of neil young's 'time fades away'......finally released on CD in a box set, but still unexplainably and unbelievably not available to purchase as an individual CD.

Do you mean this one? It was released in 1998 on the Atlantic Original Sound series... Atlantic 7567-80770-2

That Crosby-Nash CD was European release, though.

Yep, you are correct - after checking a second time - even though it has a US address for Atlantic, the small print sideways on the back says 'Made in Germany'. I stand corrected - really good deception though..! Given the current state of the Crosby/Nash relationship the likelihood of this ever seeing release is likely nil...

I would be reasonably confident that there will never be a release of the Beatles Rock and Roll Music or Love Songs. If memory serves (and the service isn't as good as it used to be) these were both released after the breakup to rake in a bit more cash for Capitol Records/Parlophone in the mid seventies. I don't think there was anything unique about any of the cuts on either album. Just comps of stuff we already have. Rarities is a different story. Do we still have a clean version of Penny Lane with the ending trumpet?

Still waiting for the Fabulous Thunderbirds version of Edgar Winter's "Way Down South". It is the opening song in the film, "My Cousin Vinny" but is not on the soundtrack - or anywhere else that I can see.

If Wiki can be trusted, all the tracks on R&R Music and Love Songs were channel reversed, and some had mixing adjustments to 'narrow the stereo'...
