Although he had pretty much announced this about a year ago, Hardy Fox succumbed to brain cancer about a week ago. He was 73 years old.

The band was always shrouded in mystery, but we do know Hardy's involvement was important to this very unique performing unit.

A buddy of mine was heavily into The Residents for a few years, so I've heard a decent amount of their material. Behind the weirdness is some good, at times beautiful music. Mr. Fox was a talented man. RIP.
