I just received DP 28 and for the first time in many years there is a defective CD.

CD 3 loops at track 4, 1:40.

I verified this by playing the CD on three different systems and even carefully cleaned the disc to make sure it's a defect as opposed to dirt or scratches.

The packaging instructions indicate to return for a refund, but of course I need just a single CD replacement as this is a limited release.

Anyone have any experience returning a CD to the Dead for replacement by them?

My feeling is that the Dead's fulfillment organization is very spotty just like their website ordering system.

I would rather live with the blemish than lose the CD or just get a refund...

I had a similar issue with a Dick's Pick and received a replacement simply by asking. If I recall this title had been reported sold out at the time so I was surprised they had replacement. Even was able to keep the bad disc. However I believe that was when it was still the Dead running the show. Have not had a issue since. Good luck!

Got an email yesterday from CS.

Seems like there are quite a few issues with this release, but they promised a replacement in 2 weeks.

My first request was sent through the web-site but not received, so good thing I sent a second one from my email account.

We'll see if they deliver...
