Lou Reed Archives Head to New York Public Library

I read this yesterday (3/4/17) in the New York Times. How cool is this?

My mind is blown that Laurie Anderson was married to Lou Reed. I confess I hadn't really followed either the last decade, and that's apparently when this happened. Mind is further blown that Laurie Anderson is the age that she is. I thought she was around 50, having found success in the 80s (and I first heard of her in the early 90s).

PKM: In your opinion, how much of the audio should be released?

Don Fleming: Tons of stuff! For instance, from The Bottom Line show that came out as the live album “Take No Prisoners,” I think there are around forty hours of recordings.

40 hours of Bottom Line recordings?!? Bring 'em on!

Did this article say that there was something like 600 hours of unreleased music? Bring it all on!

I went to a show at the Iridium last year and sitting in the audience was Laurie Anderson.
