Just turned in the book proposal for my next music bio graphic novel, on Freddie Mercury and Queen.

Here's an example of the artist's work.

Wish us luck pitching it around!

Saw Freddy and Queen from the 7th row center at The Capitol Theater in Passaic, New Jersey for the 'Sheer Heart Attack'. I say you captured him Steve.

Good luck brother!

Well not me but the mystery artist but yeah, she's terrific. :)

Any memories from this performance? That tour was one of their best.

Oh God Yes! Three act bill, Kansas was opening band and "Song For America', their second was just released. Argent followed that was Russ Ballard last tour with them. Equipment issues during Argent's set delayed Queen for quite a bit. BUT, when they did have their chance they blew everybody away. Half the show they are all dressed in black and then somehow they reappear all in white. One of the best concerts I ever attend. Queen is in the Top 5 bands off all-time and I will debate anybody on this. :ohyes:

I know! I still freak out about it. When I tell my younger rocking fans about this their jaw drops and just say "Wow"!

Good luck, Steve!

Will there be a thread for the exclusive, limited IMWAN edition? Signed, of course!

You know, I've been a Queen fan since the mid-70s, saw them live for the News of the World tour, but I really don't know anything about the band other than their music and the circumstances of Freddie's death. So I am really looking forward to reading this. Also interested in who else you might do biographies about after Bowie and Mercury. I hope they do really well and you can do a series of books like this (assuming you want to do so!).

Would love to do a series of these, yes. Probably different publishers each time, so don't expect their spines to match! :D

As far as different editions, probably different covers for the comic book and the bookstore market, at least. Possibly some exclusives some places. Are there still music stores? :)
