A Bear Family voucher--what a wonderful gift! I'd be agonizing for weeks about what to redeem it on.
This year, I got two music-related gifts: Folk-pop duo The Fortunate Ones' "The Bliss" CD (on the wishlist I gave one of my sisters) and a CD of original music by my brilliant, piano- and keyboard-playing godson. My gift to myself is a still-to-be-built oak rack that will be the home for 1500 or so of my CDs (can't wait to get those teetering piles and ridiculous grocery bags of CDs off the floor!).

Btw.....I'm very bad but I also picked up another guitar, a Fender MIM Strat that mimics the famous guitar David Gilmour plays (his blackie). His custom model is around $5K, this model cost me under $500 and one gorgeous instrument. All I will have to do is change the pickups and minor wiring and it will be a solid relic. The neck on these guitars are that good, like butter. Some people believe these could be the same necks used on the custom model.

I didn't receive any music-related gifts for Christmas or Hanukkah this year, but I did get two wonderful things during the holidays:
1. My whole-house renovation ended and I finally completed the set-up of my "media room" (not technically a man cave since it's a one-story house with no basement). For the first time in nearly 2-1/2 years my stereo is set up and I can sit back & enjoy my music collection, and play my drums.
2. A friend at Warner Music Group ordered the following items for me at their employee pricing, and the whole batch came out to less than $100. The package arrived December 24: Robert Plant - Carry Fire (double vinyl) Montrose - Montrose (double vinyl) Montrose - Paper Money (double vinyl) Yes - Topographic Drama (triple vinyl) Donald Fagen - Cheap Xmas (7-LP box set) Eagles - Hotel California - Super Deluxe Box Set (2CD + blu-ray)
