Happy Veteran's Day to any and all here who have served. Your service is much appreciated. You guys are the real heroes, not dopey musicians, actors and athletes.

The band's formations represented the Coast Guard, Air Force, Navy, Marines, and Army, then finally a "Thank You" to servicemen

That's all well and good, but I really wish people would take a minute to call their congressmen and other elected officials to quit hosing us on healthcare and the other broken promises. If they can send us out and break us they should be able to pay the cost.

Thanks and parades and the like don't pay my medical bills.

(Sorry to be a buzz kill. I appreciate the intent behind it all, but we're really to the point where it's all kind of empty.)
