I own 9 of them (counting the Chicago as 2).

I know 18 of these songs. If it was today's chart, I'd know zero.

I was 11 when these songs were hits and know each like the back of my hand. Donny Osmond and the Osmond were the big thing that year. Strange no Jackson 5 on the list.

In those days K-Tel Records would release vinyl with 20 hit songs like this list. That's how I began my record collection.

I am surprised that Jimbo owns a few of these songs.

I know 19 of the 20 (only #12 is missing). Not sure how many are actually in my collection somewhere, but guessing more than half.

I know 7, and own one (Janis). I only know the Tom Jones one from Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

Heard "Chick-A-Boom (Don't Ya Jes' Love It)" by Daddy Dewdrop yesterday on XM Radio.

I was 5 and these are what I remembered first recognizing music. "Joy To The World" was my first favorite song (the opening line was great if you were 5). I have all of these in my collection except for The Osmonds, Tom Jones, and Tony Orlando.

I even have 1, 2, 3, 6, 8, 14, 16, and 17 on my Ipod........and 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 21, 31, 43, 46, 54, 62, 65, 70, 81, and 82 from Robin's list.

Top 40 radio was great until about 1974-75.

WABC 770AM in NYC was king back then, every song truly a hit and instant classic!

Yikes...feeling slightly out of touch here. I own 6 of these songs, kinda like another 18, and don't even recognize 33 of them, at least based on the title. But since this was the chart for the year before I was born, it's probably not surprising.

Only seen 2 of them live (Who, the Stones)

It is kind of cool to see Broadway show tunes, gospel, soul, rock, and pop all on the same chart, though

My high school radio sounds (WHB and WLS). Although I could've done without being reminded of "Me and You and A Dog Named Boo."

On that Top 100 list, this is the only one I have no idea about at all.

99% sure I've got the rest covered on some CD or another. And can hum the chorus of those.

P.S. "Timothy" by the Buoys is probably the only Top 10 single to ever hint broadly at cannibalism.

Never heard Mr Big Stuff - I don't remember.
That's the year I graduated high school.
