Well, on McCartney and McCartney II, Paul played all of the instruments. On all, most of many of his albums he's played multiple instruments on multiple tracks. I guess you could say that we've come close in that respect.. If we get it, great, if not, that's great too. I hope that we get lots of new Paul music, however he chooses to present it or chooses to have playing on it.

Why Not? I am hoping for expanded Red Rose Speedway and Wild Life.

We very nearly got it with "Chaos and Creation in the Backyard". That was almost an entirely solo effort. Still, as one of the very few fans of "McCartney II", I'd love to have a third volume.

I checked out the LP from the library and taped it back in the fall of '87, and I listened to it constantly on my Walkman throughout 9th grade.

Chris Carter (Breakfast With The Beatles) pointed out that McCartney II is really McCartney 11.....(since I is roman numeral 1). It's his 11th album if you include Wings Greatest. So McCartney III would really have to be his 111th album. Unless he starts a Grateful Dead type of live archive series, I doubt he gets there.
Also, McCartney was released in 1970, McCartney II in 1980, so he either missed his chance, or can't release it until 2020.
