Wow, this is sad news. I was just reading Prog today, the cover issue being YES.
For their cover issues and in-depth tributes for Chris Squire and Keith Emerson has created a soft spot for me and the Prog magazine. Will miss this magazine immensely.

Terrible. Prog and Classic Rock are staples in this house. I feel for the employees.

Miserable news; just picked up their year end issue while I was over there. Always a good read, although I was concerned that some of their material was starting to turn over. Still, found some good new stuff through it.

Brits do the best magazines by far, and these were no exception. Expensive, put worth every penny to me. Will be hugely missed.

2016 just won't quit, will it? Of the three, I bought Classic Rock the most, but I've bought all three of these at various times. As DFT said, the Brits do the mags right - Classic Rock did some great in-depth stories about events and albums that the US mags just can't touch. I'm not even sure there are US magazines like Classic Rock or Prog. There are a couple metal mags that I read, but none of them do the kinds of things the British mags do. I'll miss all three - to varying degrees, of course, but I'll miss them just the same.

I stopped reading these mags years ago only because it was just the same bands and stories over and over.
But they were very well-done mags for the true music fan.
I just hope Uncut and Mojo stay alive.

I just hope Uncut and Mojo stay alive. One of my complaints about Guitar World (although I do subscribe now because they made some ridiculous offer) - it seemed like every year there were two Eddie Van Halen covers, two Hendrix covers, one Zakk Wylde, one Dimebag...over and over and over. Ironically, just picked up the new Mojo w/Kate Bush on the cover yesterday.

Picked up the last issue of "Classic Rock" today. As with "Prog", I will miss this magazine as well.
Maybe though, another publisher will buy the assets and continue to publish as what occurred at "Shindig" I believe. Lawrence has the scoop on that one.

My wife picked up MOJO's latest with Kate Bush on the cover as a stocking stuffer. The Pink Floyd Prog magazine that I found at B&N yesterday (issue #70) didn't have the classic outside cover for the first time. Classic Rock also didn't have the outside cover it usually has, that's a sign.

Didn't see that one at my local B&N. Wonder if they will carry it?

I just hope Uncut and Mojo stay alive. I feel the same as you. I have 100s of magazines already at home. Space is a huge problem. Online magazines were ok but I found myself never reading them.

Picked this up at B&N yesterday. Excellent tribute and remembrances from fellow musicians. If this wasn't sad enough John Wetton wrote a great piece on Greg saying how they went back as early teens and being real good friends and within months we lose him. Rick A.
