First I have to admit I love the album and I have it on lp, cd and cassette...and a couple of cd versions...i have been filling in gaps in some of the artists I collect and I have gotten to Meat Loaf. I never knew how many versions, sequels live recordings and different versions (excerpts of) Bat Out of Hell there are.
Has any artist took one theme and did more with it?

Don McLean's "American Pie" always comes to me. Even though I also really loved "Vincent", I could just never forget the album and song "American Pie", not only on how often if was played, but also its place in culture.
