One of America's Pulitzer Prize winner playwrights and a really fine actor too. Wrote lyrics with Bob Dylan, one of his best friends and who hung out with a lot was Patti Smith.
Brilliant man and a real good guy. I real surely miss him.
As an actor I loved him in 'Country" , 'Thunderheart', and 'The Right Stuff'.
I'm a huge fan of The Right Stuff, and Shepherd's portrayal of Chuck Yeager is one of that movie's delights. He had to carry the first third of that film, before the "main" characters even arrive, and I think he did a fine job.

Totally agree Glenn. One of my favorite movies. I was big fan of our astronauts from the 1960's.
