I picked Neil as I have heard the other two before, so it's the only one on your list I have never heard.

There's music and albums discussed here which are tons worse than the Neil Young and Who albums. I like them both. I'd have to pick "Endless Wire" though.

The Lou Reed album is just ugly noise to me.

Lou Reed - not a hope in hell (even in 5.1 surround sound)
Neil Young - A letter home (Nope it is musically not a bad album but sounds like crap)
The Ooo - Endless Wire, haven't played it since I brought it but I might play it now, so this one leads the pack

Additional info:
Lou Reed - Metal Machine was issued a special. 4LP set, DVD-Audio with Quad mix and high res audio, even a bloody BluRay with Quad mix and high res audio! Incredible considering it's awful.

larry,

agreed, but i tried to keep it to "major" artists, and these were the 3 that came to mind first.

I was referring to "major" artists too, though I wouldn't consider them major by any means. They're in my "I just don't get it" category. They will remain confidential with me though as many here enjoy them and heated discussions and arguments are not my intention.

I'd go w/Endless Wire. Because of this thread, I listened to it yesterday for the first time in probably a couple years.

First off, there's no denying it's not a great Who album. I think it would definitely rank in my lower tier, but I really haven't given it that kind of thought. Ultimately, for me, it's a very mixed back - a handful of good songs and the rest feel like a very mixed bag of things that were pulled from a bunch of different projects. Some tracks sound like they're from a half-baked concept album (and not necessarily the ones that form the 'mini-opera'). Some sound like leftovers from a Pete solo project. Only a few tracks stood out in a good way - "Mike Post Theme", "Man In A Purple Dress" and "Tea & Theater". Only a couple struck me as really bad.

I've definitely heard worse albums. Which I guess is damning with (very) faint praise.
