Wow I'm surprised they already didn't have an all Beatles channel?

Shouldn't they start broadcasting at 9:10 which is, of course, one (minute) after 9:09? :?

Maybe the 9:09 is tied to the CD release on 9/9/09?

I'm particularly pleased that Dennis Elsas, a longtime NY radio guy, will be hosting a call-in round table show with Bill Flanagan and other special guests.

i can't even imagine the repetition on that channel.....their deep track channel (which could be totally awesome) repeats stuff constantly, not idea how they fill time for a 24 hour channel using the 14 albums form one band. throw in all the solo stuff and got about a week, if you only play every single song once.

i think that even they offered me siruius/xm for $1 a month i wouldn't buy it.

without stern, sirius/xm dies, no doubt in my mind.

It won't just include studio recordings btw[i'd even imagine Paul McCartney and Wings live material as well as the other Beatles solo live material will probably be on the channel]

"Welcome to The Beatles experience you’ve been waiting for, with the largest collection of Beatles recordings ever assembled. It’s their hits and album tracks, live recordings and rarities, solo works from John, Paul, George and Ringo, records that influenced the band, as well as the music they inspired. Plus it's stories, shows, specials, and more all day, every day."

The Billy Joel channel had a ton of repetition on it. Unfortunately, once Clear Channel got involved, and even more so since the merger, playlists have shrunk.

I'm honestly not sure how much Stern really brings in any more. I've never been tempted to pay the extra for the Stern channels. They've put quite a few good channels on the streaming platform, but I'm not too inclined to pay extra for that.

There are some things I've very disappointed in, but it's still so much better than terrestrial radio.

I completely agree. I can't wait for the Beatles channel to start up, and my kids will be in heaven.

I'd never pay to listen to the radio. I've got so many CDs and albums that I can put on what I want when I want.

It's doubtful they're ever gonna be playing anything I don't already have. :ohyes:
