I have the Bob Dylan complete album collection boxset and was thinking about purchasing the mono boxset. I would just like to know if anyone who owns both feels the difference in stereo / mono make it a worthwhile purchase.

I bought many of Dylan's albums in stereo and then bought the mono box set when it came out. I bought the LPs back in the sixties when they were new and mono was the way I heard them and remember them. The new mono mixes are great and in their own way quite powerful and the way they were originally mixed.

I was mostly skeptical about the whole mono reissue thing until this box was released. Dylan's music from this era is particularly well-suited for mono.

That said--if one is seeking mono mixes that supposedly sound radically different from the stereo mixes (different overdubs/vocal takes, etc.) there's really none of that here.

There is also a mono Dylan comp which came out at the same time as the mono box https://www.amazon.com/dp/dp/B0041OJ0WU/?tag=imwan-20

Thanks , I been watching them on eBay and was able to score a brand new still sealed mono boxset on eBay yesterday for $38.99 plus $5.20 shipping. The seller had 100% positive feedback (6200+) , he assured me it was the domestic version and not an Asian import. I'm afraid of the Asian imports , I've heard many are counterfeit.
