After a fairly slow year, so far only seeing Jeff Tweedy and King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard (although I did also see Vicki Lawrence...I guess I'm getting old), I have a nice run of shows over the next few months to make up for my dry spell
Supergrass
Grandaddy
Sparks
Beta Band
B-52s/Devo/Lene Lovich
Wild Honey Presents The Songs of Warren Zevon
Dream Syndicate
Al Jardine (performing my 2nd favorite Beach Boys Album)
Ann Magnuson The Luv Show
Also seeing a Q&A with Annie Lennox

I've had a few stretches that have been somewhat barren, including September which stood at two shows for the longest time, but suddenly has a third show and a guitar clinic. There are a couple shows I'm considering, but not committing yet because of the venue - it's not the most comfortable for me or my buddy.

October is slowish - three shows now because one was moved to November, plus we're going to my wife's happy place, and our deal is once we pick those dates, unless it's something life-altering, I won't book any shows for those dates. Of course, there's one that's pretty close to meeting that criteria this year.

But November? Good lord - seven shows in 24 days, five in 11:

BTO
Bill Murray
Mammoth
John 5/Richie Kotzen
Outlaws
Outlaws (private acoustic benefit show)
Black Stone Cherry

Last time I saw The Who at MSG was 2002, the month after The Ox passed.
I've seen them several times since in Vegas. Looking forward to one last time in a few weeks.

It’s been a slow August due to my daughters wedding and our cruise that ended up in Canada due to a hurricane but I did see The Who.

But September is chock full of musical action including:

Marty Schwartz’s Guitar Camp next week which includes Eric Gales and Jared James Nichols.

then

Michael Schenker

Australian Pink Floyd

Eric Clapton

Steven Wilson

and here is a photo from the wedding for those who haven’t seen it:

Amazing! Congrats to all! Seems not too long ago she was the little girl who nearly fainted by my pool! :D
