BEAT! The Complete Telefunken Years anthologises their thrilling 1965 debut album Here Are The Boots, its 1967 mod-soul follow-up Beat With The Boots, and all their singles and compilation appearances.

The long-haired Boots’ wild take on R&B set them apart from Germany’s other beat groups, and their moody, tough single Gaby is one of the greatest sides of the Sixties and was a highlight of the 2005 seminal Rhino box set Children of Nuggets. BEAT! The Complete Telefunken Years is a unique chance to hear the band’s rough-edged splendour and is a must-have for fans of the best music of the Sixties.

Influenced by The Pretty Things and Them, The Boots were as good as Britain’s edgiest Sixties R&B bands.
