Bannings: If you're not nice
Description Paul Young is one of the greatest curators of music, songwriters and interpreters to emerge from the UK over the past 30 years. Tomb Of Memories: The CBS Years (1982-1994) is a 4CD bookset which chronicles his storied recording career with CBS Records, from his phenomenal debut, ‘No Parlez’, through to 1993’s ‘The Crossing’. Across the 4 discs, there are 9 unreleased versions, 8 tracks which are new to CD, and 3 songs which have never before been heard. The package also contains a 24 page booklet, complete with a foreword from Paul himself, alongside rare and unseen images, and a career-spanning retrospective essay, penned by music writer Daryl Easlea. This deluxe bookset is a celebration of his incredible career, providing a better understanding of the artist he strived to be. As Paul explains, listening to the album, “you realise that I was always trying to push the envelope and the record company were always trying to keep me on the straight and narrow. My spectrum of music has always been very wide.” [tracklisting]CD1 (No Parlez era): 1. Iron Out The Rough Spots (7” Mix)† 2. Tender Trap (Demo)* 3. Oh Women 4. The final 5 tracks on disc 1 were the contents of a live EP released only in Japan back in the mid-80s. Excellent recording and performances. I wouldn't hold my breath on this box getting a US release. Pretty fair opening price for the UK version.

Saw him in concert in mid 1980s was a scream fest. Totally blown away by screaming. Not one of the best concerts.

Got mine today. Ordered from an Amazon seller in the US for a very reasonable price. Look forward to taking it for a spin.

I ordered one of the signed copies and received it about a week or so ago. I've listened to most of it twice and think it is one of the best retrospectives I've ever heard! Doesn't sound like a thrown-together compilation but each disc flows quite nicely and stands up as a pleasant "album". Highly recommended!

I got mine today. It was my first order from Amazon UK, so I wasn't sure if I would have to pay duties (I didn't).
