There's no information available yet, so pre-order with caution. (In fact, Sony's initial solicitation refers to the above only as "MJ's Wall Legacy Edition" with no details at all.)
On the same day, Sony Special Products will be issuing the new 2016 remaster of Off The Wall separately as a budget CD:

I'm hearing NO bonus cuts, and the DVD is the same as the Spike Lee documentary airing on Showtime in February.
Yep, that's exactly what it is.
Pre-order links are back up at Amazon (see the first post of this thread) along with the tracklist. Sony's solicitation says it's newly remastered (and also continues to call it a "Legacy Edition", BTW, but I've changed that to simply "Deluxe" in our thread title). Collectors who would just like the remastered CD by itself should opt for the separate budget release which comes out on the same day:

At what point did the original mixes get replaced? Are there any CDs with them? Or were they just substituted when the CD Special Edition came out in 2001? I tried reading the Wikipedia page about it but there were so many mixes I lost track! It looks like Legacy could release a full-length CD with just different "Rock with You" permutations. Not a bad idea, actually...

I just noticed this from the Description in the first post: "The deluxe softpak includes a 16-page booklet containing a new essay and photography plus a piece of chalk and inside panels with a chalkboard finish."

This is the first CD pressing of Off The Wall from 1983, with the original mixes:

Brooklyn OWNS this charmer!
I absolutely feel this is MJ's best album. Better than everything that came afterward, though Thriller came very, very close.
The way they're treating it in reissue-land is just atrocious. This is a step backward from the last remaster, not forward. Only saving grace is that we don't have to endure any modern EDM and/or Rap-infused remixes as bonus tracks.
