The first ever Rubettes box set features five CD’s and 68 tracks from the very height of their commercial success in the mid 70’s. Disc 1 is the “Wear It’s At” album and features the best-selling single “Sugar Baby Love” (UK No.1, USA No.37, Australia No.1 France No.2, Germany No.1, Holland No.1) as well as the No.12 hit Tonight” (Top Ten across mainland Europe). The second disc is the “We Can Do It” album, appearing here on CD in its entirety for the first time. Includes the UK No. 3 hit “Juke Box Jive” (Germany No.4, France No.3, Belgium No.1, Holland No.2) as well as the UK No.7 smash “I Can Do It” (Germany No.3, Belgium No.5, France No.4, Holland No.5). Two rare non LP B-sides added as a bonus. The self-titled “Rubettes” album is Disc 3, again appearing here on CD for the first time. Includes the UK hit singles “Foe Dee Oh Dee” (No.15) and “Little Darling” (No.30) which were also chart hits across most of mainland Europe. Added as a bonus is the Alan & John spin off single “I Still Love You” which hit the French Top 30. Disc 4 is the “Sign Of The Times” album that includes the hit single “You’re The Reason Why” (UK No.28, Germany No.15, Belgium No.6, Holland No.3). “Julia” hit No.3 in France whilst the rare Alan & John 45 “Take Good Care Of My Baby” has been added as a bonus The final disc is the “Baby I Know” album making its debut on CD in its original running order. The title track reached No.10 in both the UK and Germany. Now features three rare singles cuts as bonus tracks. Housed in a deluxe clam shell box with each CD in a replica LP cardboard wallet, the package also comes with a detailed 20 page booklet that features numerous reproductions of picture sleeve singles from across the globe.
