I don't believe there was a mono mix of this album. The second disc looks like more live tracks beyond the ones at the end of the first disc, and maybe even some studio outtakes?

It should get interesting after this. Will Ray do deluxe treatment of the four story albums?.....skip over to the Arista albums?.....or is this the last one?
Knowing how Ray works, we probably won't know for another 3-4 years.

Bump again with confirmation from Sony: all of the original album is on CD1, and the second disc is a CD of additional live tracks from 1972 plus some studio outtakes from the Show-Biz sessions.

This follows almost two years after the Legacy Edition of Muswell Hillbillies. If they continue releasing at this rate it will be a long time before they finish the catalog. Hopefully this will be remastered by Vic Anesini as Muswell and the Essential Kinks were. They sound great.

Universal has done a wonderful job of the Kinks catalog over the past decade, with all the albums other than Kelvin being reissued in two (or three for Village Green!) deluxe CD sets, the Picture Book, Anthology, and BBC boxes. You have to wonder why that is the only thing that hasn't been upgraded? I have an old CD from the 90s that includes the mono and stereo mixes, but I'm sure there are other things they could add to it. I would also like a CD release of the Great Lost Kinks Album, though most of the tracks are available on the deluxe versions and boxes.It was nicely sequenced and has interesting liner notes.

Only inexplicable omission is the live version of Here Comes Yet Another Day which appeared on a RCA Kinks compilation in the 70's, of which I can't seem to find online...

Checking set lists from the Carnegie shows, it appears they also left out the "All Day And All Of The Night/You Really Got Me" medley. I can attest that at least one of the shows was a drunken shambles (but still a hell of a lot of fun), so they surely cherry picked the best from both nights.
