As an early Christmas present to myself I bought this short but sweet compilation today at WalMart for 5 bucks and in my opinion it does the job of compiling the very best of his 70s material really well. Believe it or not this was my first ever Eric Clapton purchase and I mainly got it just so I could finally have my favorite rock song of all-time Layla on a cd, but to me at least the other 11 songs on it are pretty darn good too. Plus the remastering sounds good to me, so for my first Clapton cd I think I did pretty well.

For a cheapjack compilation, it's pretty solid.

That cover is a photo from a time I'm sure EC would rather forget. He was a heroin addict at the time.

Those Icon comps are pretty weak and the covers are even worse.
