To celebrate Pantera's raucous legacy, Rhino will release both a new boxed set and single disc compilation. Seems like it's missing a few albums to be a "complete" studio album set....

It says from 1990-2000 so it's accurate.

Are these the recent remasters?

And are the albums that hadn't been remastered yet now remastered as well?

That was the first thing to cross my mind. I doubt it.

The live disc is obviously not on the box set, so I hope they get that one remastered because I have the original and it's a horrendous mix.

That does sound like shit, but they'd have to remix that, not just remaster it.

The studio cuts on that one were really good too.

If they decided to stop the Deluxe Editions, maybe they did remaster the last few albums?

I need to know that before I buy this.

Yeah, my bad on that statement. I know it needs a remix. The performance is awesome, but sounds like a good boot.

I'm with ya on that there. I have the first three remasters and love 'em. I was disappointed when Vinnie said the remasters were going to happen on the 20th anniversaries of the respective discs. Just put 'em out is what I was saying on other boards.

The ones that are remastered are the essential Pantera (to me anyway).

Bump: This has been pushed back a week, to December 18th. A full tracklist is now in the first post -- the Far Beyond Driven album has been newly remastered.
