Helpful Librarian Joined: Day WAN Posts: 196967 Location: IMWAN Towers Bannings: If you're not nice	Description Originally known as Ben Iverson and the NueDey Express, the newly Christened Crown Heights Affair relocated to De-Lite Records in 1975. With the benefit of worldwide distribution, the group achieved immediate success for the singles "Dreaming A Dream", "Every Beat of My Heart", "Foxy Lady" and "Dancin'". "Dreaming A Dream" reached number one on the Hot Dance Club Play chart in 1975, and they reached #2 on the Dance chart later that year with "Every Beat Of My Heart". In the UK they made the Top 40 in 1978 with "Galaxy Of Love", and #10 in 1980 with "You Gave Me Love". The album, "Do It Your Way", contained the tunes "Dancin'", "Far Out" and "(Do It) The French Way". In the 1980s they were successful record producers for some Prelude Records acts like France Joli("Gonna Get Over You"), and they produced two songs for Amii Stewart in 1981. On 22 June 2013 they reunited to play at the Coronet in London as part of the Streetsounds Summer Ball. The danceable R&B/Funk on this glorious two disc career overview will set the scene for a number of forthcoming releases from the De-Lite, Solar and Sugarhill catalogues, uncovering some of the best urban music of the '70s and '80s.
