Description
"How does it feel to be the best guitarist in the world? I don’t know, why don’t you go and ask Rory Gallagher."– Jimi Hendrix

I’ll Remember marks a timely reappraisal of a vital and yet hitherto overlooked period in the career of the incredible Rory Gallagher. The four-disc boxset from his band, Taste includes sumptuous remasters of their two studio albums ‘Taste’ and ‘On The Boards’ plus demos, alternate takes and previously unreleased live concert recordings. The box also contains extensive sleevenotes and previously unseen photographs. Taste were one of the most formidable live bands in the world in the late 1960’s / early 70’s. Fronted by one of the iconic and influential Gallagher, ‘I’ll Remember’ captures the essence of the band from their incredible studio recordings through to their mind-blowing live performances. Taste were the beginning of an incredible career for Rory who has inspired and drew admiration from a plethora of guitarist including Jimi Hendrix, Johnny Marr, Slash, Eric Clapton, Ed Sheeran, Hozier The Edge and Brian May among many others.

Hell yeah.

And, I don't care if I catch hell for this...but they were better and more interesting than Cream at the whole Power trio Blues Rock thing.

This COULD be very cool depending on how much unreleased material is included.

I hope Donell is not involved. His remasters tend to be downgrades.

The last remasters from a few years ago were excellent and way better than any others.

Not sure how much Donal was involved with those, but Andy Pearce did a stellar job.

IMO The Euro Sony's were good (Donal was not involved afaik); I thought the batch after the Sony digipacks were once again loud.

And the Irish Tour Blu-ray may be the worst sounding br I've ever heard.

I only have the Digipacks and they were dynamite.

I believe the ones you are referencing were reissues of the ones from the 90's that Donal was involved with. I have some of those still and while I don't think they were bad they aren't even close to the new ones.

Moral of the story: If you want to have enough money to buy cool music, don't open a music industry business!

I still say Geff, big changes may bring big rewards. Still think you should consider moving south. Excellent job prospects, women wear cool clothing and no state tax.

That takes money too................... If I could afford it, I'd probably move WAY south & join Ransakawa in Australia!
