These have all been released domestically before, right? I guess they're just going back in print?

Hmm ... I was under the impression that these Deluxe Editions were originally only released in the UK.

Sorry to disagree, but I don't believe they were import-only.

I bought them all as they were released over a several year span (from Circuit City, no less). All of them are on Rhino, and they are labeled "Made in USA" on the discs themselves. The cardboard outer sleeves indicate "Printed in U.S.A."

I wonder why Pornography and The Glove's Blue Sunshine are not part of this release series. Next round, perhaps?

The first round of these 2-CD sets came out in 2004-5, on the heels of the Join The Dots b-sides and rarities collection. Not sure why Rhino is doing a straight re-issue campaign, unless the sets went OOP.

Disintegration was UK only-it never came out here and that's where the remasters stopped.

That's weird. My Disintegration 3-CD set, which came out in 2010, also says "Made in U.S.A." and is on Rhino, rather than Universal. Perhaps the domestic release occurred sometime after the UK release?

Robert Smith has teased about a Wish deluxe edition a few times since this came out, but nothing so far, not even the "In Orange" DVD that he also promised.

Is it because The Cure is going on tour that Rhino decided to release these again? It was really weird going into my local record store over the weekend and seeing a huge display of all these "new release" deluxe editions... which are exactly the same as the previous deluxe editions from several years ago.

And yes, there were both UK and USA releases of "Disintegration." I have the UK with the outer plastic case on Universal. But the USA Rhino version was packaged like the other Rhino versions with a cardboard sleeve.
