I was lucky enough to be there and to be pretty close to the stage. It was a great day.

Is this just a rerelease of the CD and DVD, or will there be a remastered CD and bonus material for the DVD?

It's newly remastered, but there's been no mention of additional content.

Isn't this the show where Simon sang "The Late Great Johnny Ace" and some guy rushed the stage? It was on the video and was quite scary to watch. Was the audio of that ever released?

The recording of The Late Great Johnny Ace from this show was not released.

As my cousin said at the time, it looked like it was going to be The Late Great Paul Simon for a moment. Very scary incident.

Amazing how Paul was able to continue as he did. One of my favorite Paul Simon songs and that jerk had to go ruin it enough for the performance to be edited out. Wow....

Eerie that it happened just as he got to the point in the song where he's singing about John Lennon's assassination, which was only half a year earlier, not far from where we were all sitting.

I hear you Seth. That guy was crazed was out to hurt him, you can tell. Like Lennon's killer he was crazed and wanted to make his mark.

Again I am so impress with Paul Simon, the song and it's meaning, how the craze guy got so very close yet he soldiered on.

I assume it's because the audio sounded odd when Simon's voice suddenly dropped out after the guy jumped onstage. And they couldn't fix it in the studio because what happened was so well known that it would have been obvious that they fixed it in the studio.
