Description
Colin Blunstone made his name with the legendary 1960s band The Zombies, who are still active to this day. After leaving The Zombies, Colin embarked on a long and successful solo career, enjoying hits such as 'Say You Don't Mind' and 'I Don't Believe In Miracles'. Planes (1976) and Never Even Thought (1978) were recorded for Elton John's Rocket Records label and amazingly have never been released on CD. Both albums have been remastered from the original quarter-inch tapes. Planes was produced by Gus Dudgeon and opens with 'Beautiful You' and the Elton John-penned title track, both of which were chosen as singles. It also boasts a reworking of The Zombies classic, '(Care Of) Cell 44' and a third single, Kiki Dee's 'Loving And Free'. Never Even Thought begins with the lead single, Richard Kerr's 'I'll Never Forget You'; the other tracks chosen as 45s were 'Ain't It Funny' and 'Photograph'. Rod Argent guests on the album.

3. Since I've Been Loving You

Think I had the "Never Even Thought" LP briefly back in the 80's, but didn't like it much; I love his first 2 solo albums, the third was okay. Will have to consider getting this since I've never heard "Planes"...

I have both on vinyl, "Planes" is much superior. Gus Dudgeon at the boards and both the Elton penned self-titled "Planes" and the remake "(Care of) the Cell 44" were my favorites. I see "Never Even Thought" as a bonus.

Interesting, when I tried to order this from Amazon UK I received this message. This item can be delivered to United States Details :-o

The Amazon UK site can tell from your IP that you're located in the USA, so it shows a message that the product you're looking at can be shipped to you. (A lot of their products in other departments, such as foods and toiletries, aren't allowed to be shipped to America.)

Oh, Thanks Linda. I misread it. I thought that it "couldn't" deliver it which I thought was weird.

OK, going back to reorder now.
