according to wikipedia ( i know, not always the best source) this will be the 30th, you read that correctly, 30th bestof/greatest hits compilation for bonnie tyler who had 2, yes you read that correctly also, 2 top 100 singles on the U.S. charts.
now, she had had few more than that worldwide, but still......30 best of's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Holy compilation Batman! i was also quite stunned when i saw it. i was actually looking to see how many singles she had in the top 40, and was surprised to find only 2 in the top 100. then when i saw the comp album list i almost shit my pants.at how many there were, i actually had to count it twice to be sure.

She definitely had more than 2 top 100 singles in the US. It's a Heartache was top 10. Total Eclipse of the Heart was a #1 single. Holding out for a Hero was top 40. I'm not a Bonnie Tyler fan but I know for sure that those three singles were all top 40. There had to be a few more minor hits scattered in there as well.

'here she comes' and "if you were the woman (and i was the man)" both cracked the top 80. i regress.......30 best of's!

Remember back in the 70s (extends further back than that but I'm not old enough to remember) when you could walk into a record store (and most department stores) and there would be a pretty large selection of 45's and one of the sections would be the golden oldies. If that model still existed today every store would have the "Total Eclipse of the Heart/Holding Out For a Hero" golden oldie 45 and there would have only been 1 Bonnie Tyler compilation released in the last 20 years.
How I miss the old days.

Even this one is missing "A Rockin' Good Way," a duet with UK rockabilly revivalist Shakin' Stevens--Top 5 hit in England. Also missing the afore-mentioned "If You Were a Woman (And I Was a Man)," which had a very weird video (not available on YouTube, it appears).
