Quicksilver live recordings are becoming almost a monthly occurrence from the Purple Pyramid/Cleopatra family of labels. The next one, due on Tuesday, is above. There's also one on the horizon for July 10th -- live at Stony Brook College in New York, 1970:

And here are all the CDs which have previously been released in this series:

Be warned, most of the Cleo Quicksilvers have awful sound; & are close to identical to shows on Wolfgang's Vault (or at least were before WGV went MP3 only) & are also on multiple boots & UK Voiceprint sets.

I'll tell you, Geff, I think that Cleopatra is going to try to release every Quicksilver show they can get ahold of, in whatever quality it might be available, for a complete collection. This might end up being a series of CDs that fills an entire wall, like The Grateful Dead.

None of these are upgrades, but they are legit CD releases, which puts them over both the Wolfgang MP3s and the boots you were referring to. Most of the discs have four and five-star reviews at Amazon. The 1969 show has poor reviews.

The 1 Cleo I spent money on was the box set. It was beyond awful. I also bought a couple of the WGV flac's back in "the day". They were a little better then the Cleos I've heard.

I'm not saying these are boots (I don't know; the world wide licensing on these Quicksiilver shows has been interesting; it may be a money grab from the original management or Gary Duncan), just warning buyer beware.

At minimum, I would suggest trying to find a way to hear a lossless version of any of the Cleo or Voiceprint sets before purchase.

Yep it's the box I used to have (I sold it), & it's awful. I posted about it here & also reviewed it on Amazon.
