Description
Long overdue 17 track round up of every A side issued by the multi talented Blue Mink, in effect a Best Of Includes the UK hit singles Melting Pot (No.3), Good Morning Freedom (No.10), Our World (No.17), Banner Man (No.3), Stay With Me (No.11), By The Devil (I Was Tempted) (No.26) and Randy (No.9). In Germany they scored hits with Good Morning Freedom (No.31) and Banner Man (No.38) whilst in Australia it was Melting Pot (No.4), Good Morning Freedom (No.25) and Banner Man (No.14) that charted. The track Where Were You Today was used as the sound-track to the chain store C&A's television adverts whilst Good Morning Freedom is currently been used on TV to promote orange juice! Booklet contains detailed liner notes by Phil Hendriks plus pictures of all relevant sleeves including many rare European issues.

I got this during J&R's closing sales. Way back in 1975, I was intrigued because Blue Mink was mentioned in the scrapbook included in Elton's Captain Fantastic album, in a list of best new acts of 1969 (they placed first).
